Community Mindfulness Meditation Classes

Do something for yourself and learn “A Way” to be and to make friends with the spaciousness of your mind. How often does your mind wander off or flit from topic to topic? Always! I might say - because this is the nature of the mind. With some practice anyone can learn to love the wildness of mind and become mindful of living in the present moment.

This class focuses on using daily activities to remain in contact with oneself during the busy-ness of life. Learn to be more aware and available in love and joy and peace and wisdom. Join us with a readiness to experience the present moment and a willingness to take this practice home.

A Community Meditation Practice

A Community Meditation Practice is open to all those interested in a deeper meditation practice in a safe, rural setting.

"I have had a personal meditation practice for over 30 years, and the experience of my practice brings compassion to share with those that are interested in starting or deepeing their own mindful meditation practice. Meditation has been an essential practice to remaining focused on my life as it flows from one place to another. I taught my first meditation class in the late 1970s to be used as a daily practice relieving the stress of a sales organization. Since that time my practice has evolved into a daily spiritual practice.

"I have had 3 years of formal training in the Buddhist tradition of Shamatha meditation at Naropa University, a Buddhist-influenced university, where I was conferred a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology. Our course work explored a traditional sitting practice as well as many types of mindful meditation practices which I joyfully share with all who visit meditation practice groups which I lead. I have used mindfulness meditation practices to benefit men and women who struggle with the affects of chronic mental illness, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder. Most practitioners successfully shift their mental focus to beauty of living life in the present moment, which is what we all desire."
